1. Who We Are
Dev Tools: JWT, JSON, Regex & More (com.devtools.app) is an Android application that bundles six offline developer utilities — a Regex Tester, JWT Decoder, JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder/Decoder, Hash Generator, and URL Encoder/Decoder — into a single app. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer.
This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use Dev Tools, how it is used, and your rights. If you have any questions, contact us at abdulhady.aariyan@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
Dev Tools collects the minimum data necessary to maintain app stability and understand which features are used. We do not collect, transmit, or have any technical ability to see the regex patterns, JWTs, JSON, Base64 strings, hashes, or URLs you process within any tool.

| Anonymous installation ID A random ID generated by Firebase — not linked to any identity |
Yes | De-duplicate analytics events across sessions | Firebase (Google) |
| Regex, JWT, JSON, Base64, hash & URL content Anything you type or paste into any of the six tools |

3. When Dev Tools Uses the Internet
All six tools — Regex Tester, JWT Decoder, JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder/Decoder, Hash Generator, and URL Encoder/Decoder — run entirely as local, on-device computation and need no network connection whatsoever. You can use every tool in airplane mode.
Dev Tools connects to the internet in exactly two situations, neither of which involves the content you process in a tool:
- Sending anonymous analytics and crash reports — Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics transmit the events described in Section 2 in the background.
- Processing an optional donation — if you choose to support development via the Support screen, Google Play Billing communicates with Google's servers to complete the purchase (see Section 4).
4. In-App Purchases (Optional Donations)
Dev Tools offers optional, repeatable one-time tips through Google Play Billing — "Buy me a coffee," "Buy me lunch," "Buy me dinner," and "Be generous." These are entirely voluntary; every tool in the app is fully functional and free whether or not you ever donate.
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play. Dev Tools does not receive, store, or process your payment card details, billing address, or any financial information. The only information we receive from a completed donation is which tier was purchased, so we can show a thank-you message and log an anonymous analytics event (tier and price only).
For information about how Google handles payment data, refer to the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

6. Data Storage & Retention
Text you enter into any tool is held only in the app's in-memory state while you're using it and is never written to disk, a database, or a server, and is discarded the moment you clear the field or close the app.
App preferences you set — theme (light/dark/system) and dynamic color — are stored exclusively on your device using Android's local DataStore. This data is never uploaded to any server.
Anonymous analytics events sent to Firebase are retained by Google for up to 14 months, after which they are automatically deleted, in accordance with Firebase's standard retention policy.
Uninstalling Dev Tools from your device removes all locally stored data (preferences, cached state).
7. Children's Privacy
Dev Tools is a developer tool intended for users aged 13 and above, in part because the app integrates Google Play Billing. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us at abdulhady.aariyan@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
8. Your Rights
Because Dev Tools does not collect personal data and requires no account, there is no user profile to access, correct, or delete on our end.
- Local data — reset your theme and display preferences directly in the app's Settings screen. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
- Analytics opt-out — you can limit Firebase Analytics on your Android device via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation, or by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" in your device settings.
- Questions or requests — contact abdulhady.aariyan@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
All network connections made by Dev Tools — for analytics, crash reporting, and donation processing — use HTTPS (TLS). Content you process in any tool stays in local process memory and is never transmitted over any channel, encrypted or otherwise.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via an in-app notice on the next app launch.
Continued use of Dev Tools after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
